NEWS UPDATES
Almighty God and our heavenly Father, who dwells in unapproachable light. We praise you and thank you for the light of your glory which shines upon your Church throughout the world at all times. We give you all the glory for all your blessings, past, present and to come, upon this Diocese, our Bishop, the Clergy and the Laity. We praise you for the third session of the sixth Synod of this Diocese.
God of light, you sent your son Jesus Christ, the light of the world to reveal your glory to us. He brought us out of darkness into His marvelous light. He made us a chosen people, royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God. So that we may arise and declare your wonderful works and at last to shine in our Father’s kingdom.
We pray you to keep us all continuously in your light. Help us to walk in it all our days. Make us to rise above the forces of darkness and evil. Dispel the darkness of our lives and of our world. Grant us to shine at all times and in all places as children of light in a crooked, depraved and perverted world.
Give to our Bishop, Clergy and Deacons, grace to lead people to the light of Christ by their teachings and lives. Give them grace to always stand against and rebuke all forces of darkness in our communities. Bring all of us, through the merit of Jesus Christ to your everlasting kingdom, where you yourself is the eternal light, to dwell, shine and reign with Christ forever.
We pray through Jesus Christ your son our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit, be all glory, honour and dominion forever and ever, Amen.
