Every four years of General Election and State Election, the Diocese of Lagos West in conjunction with Dioceses of Mainland and Badagry organised Lagos State Gubernatorial Debate for the Governorship Aspirants at the Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral, GRA, Ikeja. The events started in 1999 when Nigeria returned to Democracy.
